Karen Anderson has loved working with her hands since she can remember. Born and raised in North Dakota she has lived there all her life. Karen’s love for flowers and gardening can be seen in her porcelain art. She has been painting on porcelain for 10 years and teaching for about 4 of those years. In Romans 12:6-8 Paul says "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to us". Karen believes the Lord wants all of us to share our gifts and talents with those around them.

With no formal training in art, Karen has developed a combination style of painting taken from the many teachers she has painted under. "I paint what I see and like and what other people would like".

Karen and her husband Vance of 25 years live on a farm west of Grafton, North Dakota. They have two grown children, Holly and Paul. Karen is a member of the North Dakota China Painters Guild, the World Organization of China Painters and new member of the Porcelain Painters International Online.

Teaching one day a week and painting whenever she can, Karen’s other hobbies include gardening, quilting, hardanger and reading. She also is very active in church activities and is a singer in a musical group called Vessel of Praise.
